Role Overview
The Key Account Manager at Distacart is responsible for building and nurturing vendor relationships, expanding product selection, optimizing pricing, and managing portfolio profitability. This role demands a dynamic professional with strong analytical acumen, leadership skills, and deep business judgment.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor partnerships, business growth, escalations, and negotiations.
Proactively manage vendor performance and ensure their success and satisfaction.
Identify and resolve potential vendor-facing roadblocks before they arise.
Monitor industry trends, business events, and competitor developments.
Develop and present short-term and long-term growth plans to senior management.
Network across cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Tech, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations) to influence and drive results.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of experience OR Tier-2 MBA with 4–6 years of experience.
Strong vendor negotiation, pricing, and promotions experience.
Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including modeling and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Full-time MBA with 4+ years of post-MBA experience.
Background in vendor/account/category management from digital commerce, eCommerce, D2C, retail, or FMCG sectors.
